Actor Kwaku Manu has revealed the behind-the-scenes details of the growing tension between actor Kyekyeku and actress Tracy Boakye on his Aggressive show on YouTube.
Kwaku, who has worked closely with both, spoke candidly about a situation that has caused friction within the industry.
According to Kwaku, Kyekyeku reached out to him for help, asking him to speak to Tracy Boakye and apologize on his behalf for not responding to her calls.
Kwaku elaborated, “Kyekyeku came to my house and told me to speak to Tracy Boakye and apologize on his behalf for not answering her calls.
“But as much as I understand the situation, the dynamics within the industry complicate things.”
Kwaku took the opportunity to shed light on Kyekyeku’s position in the industry, revealing that despite Kyekyeku’s rise to fame, there are forces behind the scenes that control his decisions.
“Kyekyeku is popular today because some people brought him into the industry, but he doesn’t have ultimate freedom,” Kwaku said.
“Some people feel they ‘own’ him and dictate which productions he can work with. They believe he can’t act for any other production outside their camp.”
Kwaku also revealed that he had intended to call Tracy to discuss the situation and clear the air. However, things took a turn when Kyekyeku received a video of Tracy on a live broadcast, talking about him.
“I had planned to call Tracy, but when I dropped Kyekyeku off, someone sent him a video of Tracy on a live broadcast, talking about him. He became very sad in the car after watching it,” Kwaku shared.
