Actor Kwaku Manu has opened up about his experience of single-handedly raising his four children following the dissolution of his marriage to ex-wife Naa Okailey three years ago, after four years of togetherness.
In an interview with Zionfelix, he discussed the challenges and strategies he has employed to care for and nurture his children independently, particularly in light of recent reports regarding Naa Okailey’s new marriage to a white man in the United States.
“It’s not easy to raise kids alone, especially if their mothers are not around,” he stated in an interview with Zionfelix.
He highlighted the significance of enforcing strict regulations within his household as a method he has implemented to promote respect and discipline.
“What makes it easier for me is that there are rules in my home. My kids are not allowed to behave anyhow or disrespect the people that take care of them in my home,” he said.
Addressing the issue of women who leave their children with men, Manu added, “If you abandon them, I’ll take them in.”
He then discussed his bond with children, observing that they are his closest companions.
“They are my friends, my happiness. We’re always excited to see each other. I spend most of my time with them at home because I’m not the type to go out and chill recklessly. I’m not a careless dad,” he noted.
