Concerns over Okomfour Kwadee’s mental health have resurfaced following a recent video circulating on social media, showing the once-beloved Ghanaian musician in a troubling state.
In the wake of these concerns, actor Kwaku Manu has spoken out, shedding light on events that may have contributed to the artist’s ongoing struggles.
In a video shared on February 7, 2025, Kwaku Manu recounted how Kwadee was initially taken to a rehab centre in Kumasi when his condition worsened.
According to him, while the musician’s family played a role in his care, it was the owner of the rehab centre who took on the responsibility of ensuring his well-being, covering most of the expenses even when the burden became heavy.

“After he left the rehab, his management started taking him to perform at shows. They didn’t even return to thank the woman who helped him.
“It wasn’t long before he started lashing out at journalists during interviews. His management and the people around him weren’t following the prescribed treatment.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if he was allowed to smoke after he left rehab. That was when he started losing his senses,” Kwaku Manu revealed.
He recalled his own visit to the facility, where he first discovered Kwadee’s presence. During those difficult times, the rehab centre owner stood by the musician, even allowing him to drive her around once he became stable.
“Some people, without knowing the full story, went as far as accusing the woman of using Kwadee as a driver and insulting her,” Kwaku Manu said, expressing disappointment at the way her role in Kwadee’s recovery was misunderstood.
