DJ Vyrusky, the celebrated Ghanaian DJ known for blending vibrant beats and nurturing local talent, recently addressed a rumor concerning the absence of Kuami Eugene’s verse on his latest track.
Speaking candidly with 3FM, Vyrusky—whose real name is Kofi Amoako—clarified that there was no intentional decision to remove Kuami Eugene from the song. Instead, the artist was simply unavailable at the time of recording.

“There was a conversation about having Kuami Eugene on the song, but he was not available at the time, so we never actually recorded his verse,” Vyrusky explained, setting the record straight.
“I didn’t remove anything from the song.” He further added that King Paluta’s verse was used as a creative alternative, a decision he’s proud of given Paluta’s rising influence in the industry.
Despite the unavailability of Kuami Eugene for this particular song, Vyrusky hinted at more collaborations in the pipeline with the Lynx Entertainment star. “But me and Kuami Eugene even have a lot of songs together,” he shared enthusiastically. “We even have like three or four songs that we are yet to release.”
Vyrusky’s comments also touched on his early career struggles, juggling multiple gigs across different events. He recalled a pivotal moment with fellow event manager and industry figure Jerry Adjorlolo, who encouraged him to create a team of DJs that could help him manage his bookings.

“I go collect some two weddings someday, and I for balance the two,” he laughed, reminiscing about the frantic hustle between events.
“I was just running in between, and he [Jerry Adjorlolo] was like, ‘Bro, just form a group of DJs and let people know that these are my boys, so when they book you, now they know they are your boys.’ The whole idea was to be able to get more gigs.”
