Ras Kuuku has revealed his reasons for not wanting to collaborate with Kofi Kinaata again in an interview on Hitz FM.
He expressed his disappointment in Kinaata for removing his verse from their joint effort, Effiekuma Love, without consulting him first.
Kuuku claims that he initially added a melodious and smooth rhythm to the track, only to have Kinaata replace it with a softer tone without his knowledge.
“He recorded the song with a thick voice, but my verse, I recorded it with a soft rhythm. Maybe after he heard mine it was better, so he decided to rerecord the entire song to become a soft rhythm”.
Kuuku mentioned that despite Kinaata apologizing to him for the incident that occurred after the song was released, he has not decided to collaborate with him in a professional capacity, even though he has forgiven him.
Meanwhile, Kofi Kinaata recently unveiled his debut EP, ‘Kofi oo Kofi’. The title of the album is a nod to Kinaata’s birth name, as ‘Kofi’ in Ghana signifies a male born on a Friday.
The EP was launched on Friday, May 10, 2024. Kinaata made the announcement on his Twitter account, exciting his fans who had been eagerly anticipating the release.
The EP consists of seven tracks that delve into Kinaata’s personal stories from childhood, his challenges, and life lessons in a broader sense.
