During a recent interview on TV XYZ and monitored by Tru News Report, Ras Kuuku expressed his thoughts on Sarkodie’s manager, Angel Town, and his impact on Ghanaian music.
Ras Kuuku revealed that he believes Angel is retrogressing Ghanaian music through the managerial style of the rapper. When asked about potential collaborations with Sarkodie, Ras Kuuku shared his disappointment in not being able to merge his fanbase with that of the iconic rapper due to Angel Town’s attitude.
Ras Kuuku explained that he had sent a verse to Sarkodie through Angel, but it was never delivered. When he confronted Sarkodie about the delay, the rapper claimed he had never received anything. In a previous interview on TV3 back in February 2023, Ras Kuuku shed light on his opinion about Angel Town during a discussion about the beef between Sarkodie and Samini over collaboration.
Despite the criticism Sarkodie receives, Ras Kuuku believes he is not a wicked person and places the blame for his his perceived aloofness on Angel Town. According to Ras Kuuku, Angel is known for keeping Sarkodie away from collaborations, and this behaviour has made Sarkodie unpopular.
Ras Kuuku even referred to Angel as the “obolo guy” and shared an example of how a potential feature with Sarkodie was sabotaged by Angel. In conclusion, Ras Kuuku believes that all the blame for the criticism directed towards Sarkodie should be placed on Angel Town.
