Ghanaian musician Kofi Kinaata has refuted circulating claims that a driver died following a recent road accident involving his vehicle.
In an official statement, the artist clarified that no fatalities occurred from his side of the incident.
“No driver is dead. Those claiming a driver died should stop spreading that misinformation. We were in a Land Cruiser when a motorcycle with two passengers crossed our path,” Kinaata explained. He reassured his fans that both he and his team were unharmed after the incident.
However, he noted that the two individuals on the motorcycle were in serious condition following the accident.
“They weren’t wearing helmets, so this outcome is unfortunately expected,” he added, pointing out the critical safety lapse that worsened the motorcyclists’ injuries.
The incident has raised concerns about road safety practices, with Kinaata urging the public to avoid misinformation and to prioritize safety measures such as helmet use to prevent future tragedies.
Previously, GhanaStreetJournal revealed how Kofi Kinaata reassured his fans that he was safe and well after reports of a serious car accident involving him went viral.
The news, which spread rapidly across social media platforms, left many of his supporters concerned for his safety.
In a Facebook Live update, Kinaata shared details of the accident, addressing the widespread worry. “We are fine, no one is dead… we were on our way to a show and had a head-on collision with a motorbike,” the singer stated, sounding calm but clearly shaken by the event.
He explained further, “There were two people on the motorbike, and they are currently in critical condition, but my team and I are fine.”
Kinaata, known for his humility and connection with his fanbase, took a moment to express his profound gratitude.
