KKD Outlines Why Ghana Is Still Not Developed

Prominent Ghanaian broadcaster Kwasi Kyei Darkwa, popularly known as KKD, has spoken out against what he sees as the source of the country’s lack of progress.

He claims that most Ghanaians lack the foresight to pick competent leaders, which is why the country is still underdeveloped.

On Thursday, in an interview broadcast on Onua TV, KKD stated that the majority of Ghanaians are greedy and that this is holding the country back from development.

“Some of us who joined queues to vote have weak minds, some are selfish, and so they have already taken t-shirts and sardines to go and vote; they do not vote based on wisdom and truth. Aside from this, most Ghanaians do not have courage. And in a country where only a few people are wise, only a few are truthful, and only a few are courageous, there will be no development,” he said.

KKD highlighted the recent violent death of a soldier in Ashaiman as an example. According to him, the citizens of Ashaiman would have stepped in to defend the soldier if they had the guts to do so.

He went on to say that Ghanaians don’t hold their leaders accountable because they lack the guts, intelligence, and truthfulness necessary to do so.
