King Paluta is not performing for the devil- Joyce Blessing

Joyce Blessing has expressed her frustration regarding the evident hypocrisy within Christianity, particularly concerning the perception of secular artists by Christian communities.

She points out that a song like King Paluta’s Aseda can easily be accepted as gospel music, challenging any Christian principles or doctrines that might suggest otherwise.

Her remarks follow a swift apology from a Catholic priest after a viral video surfaced of him performing King Paluta’s popular song, Aseda.

Speaking on Hitz FM, Joyce Blessing defended the priest, asserting that there was nothing inappropriate about the video.

The highly acclaimed gospel artist emphasized that secular musicians, such as King Paluta, are not serving the devil merely due to their choice not to perform gospel music.

“King Paluta’s Aseda is a gospel song. Everyone has their own mindset. Sometimes, there is too much hypocrisy. Every good gift comes from God.

“You cannot sit somewhere and say King Paluta belongs to the devil because he does not perform gospel songs. What kind of songs do you think he is performing?”

“I really listen to his songs. If you listen to the story behind the songs, you will see that he has gone through a lot in life and God has finally elevated his status. We all have to support him, Joyce Blessing said.

GhanaStreetJournal previously mentioned that the Ghanaian pastor featured in a viral video performing King Paluta’s Aseda song during the offertory collection issued an apology.

Identified as Rev. Father Peter Kusi Twumasi, the acting Rector of St. Stephen Rectorate in Bodomase, he has expressed sincere regret for incorporating King Paluta’s Aseda into the church service.

Following the video’s widespread circulation and the ensuing debate, Rev. Father Twumasi reached out to the church leadership to apologize for his actions.

He acknowledged that he became overwhelmed and allowed a secular song to intrude upon the sacred environment.

In his apology letter, he emphasized that he never intended to undermine the traditions of the Church.
