Renowned R&B artiste Khalid has publicly addressed his sexuality after being outed online. The 26-year-old singer took to the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to confirm his identity, expressing confidence and self-acceptance.
The 26-year-old El Paso native – born Khalid Donnel Robinson, first posted a rainbow emoji with a set of exclamation points, writing, “there yall go. next topic please lol.” In response to a fan who questioned, “Wait hope Mr Khalid isn’t GEHHH!”, the “Location” hitmaker replied, “I am! And that’s okay.”

In a follow-up post, Khalid elaborated, “I got outted and the world still continues to turn. Let’s get this straight (lmao), I am not ashamed of my sexuality! In reality, it ain’t nobody’s business! But I am okay with me. Love y’all.”

Fans quickly rallied around the artiste, emphasizing their support. One user commented, “The closet was glass, baby. But we accept you. It’s not about who you love; it’s about your artistry!” Khalid responded, “I wasn’t hiding anything! It’s just not any of your business.”

Another fan referenced his 2022 music video for “Satellite,” calling it an LGBTQ anthem and criticizing those who had overlooked it. Khalid appreciated the sentiment, replying, “Thank you!!!! I was never hiding.”
The outing appears to be linked to fellow artiste Hugo D. Almonte, who shared a selfie with Khalid and made allegations about their past relationship.

Despite the controversy, Khalid ended his social media engagement positively, reassuring fans of his self-assurance.
