, Ghana Street Journal

There have been widespread rumours circulating online that Kenneth Agyapong, son of Kennedy Agyapong, is preparing to run for the Asante Akyem South seat in the Ashanti Region.

However, the son of Assin, a Central Member of Parliament, has made it clear that he has no intention of doing so. Kenneth Agyapong took to social media to deny any knowledge of the flyer and stated that he has no interest in pursuing a seat in the Ghanaian Parliament.

He emphasized that his focus remains on leading his various businesses and not on politics in Ghana. Kenneth urged everyone to disregard the flyer and treat it with the contempt it deserves.

“I have sighted flyers with my picture purportedly projecting me as hoping to contest the Asante Akyem South parliamentary seat on the ticket of the NPP, being bandied around. I wish to state categorically without anyeL equivocation that, I know nothing about the flyer and its circulation.

“I am a businessman, focusing on how to manage affairs of the enterprises and the entities that I lead and have no intention of filing for any parliamentary primaries either within the NPP circles or in the Asante Akyem South. I call on all people within the NPP and the general public to disregard the poster and treat same with the contempt that it deserves. Thank you. Ken Agyapong Jr.”
