Kennedy Agyapong has expressed his intention to adopt a similar approach to President Buhari in order to recover stolen funds from corrupt politicians once he assumes the presidency.
He firmly believes that those who engage in the misappropriation of public funds will not escape justice under his leadership in Ghana.
Agyapong, a prominent and unconventional politician currently vying for the New Patriotic Party’s presidential candidacy in the upcoming 2024 election, publicly stated that he plans to implement the blueprint utilized by former Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari to successfully retrieve stolen public funds from former government officials.
In a recent statement on his official Twitter platform, Agyapong emphasized that following a six-month grace period, any former government appointee found guilty of embezzlement through thorough investigation will be subjected to the full extent of the law.
“To be honest, my approach will be Buhari’s own. Anybody who feels that he has stolen Ghana’s money should bring it We will give you 6 months, and if we find you, you will face the law.”

In other news previously published on Tru News Report, Kennedy Agyapong expressed his admiration for former President John Mahama During an interview on Starr Chat.
Agyapong acknowledged that he had been critical of Mahama in the political arena, but now recognizes that his attacks were unwarranted. He admitted that Mahama had shown him kindness and generosity, which he failed to reciprocate adequately.
Mr. Agyapong went on to say that he gets along well with the former first family, particularly the ex-president Mahama’s wife.
The past administration headed by Mr Mahama received harsh criticism from the MP for Assin Central. He was a major factor in the 2016 general elections that resulted in the overthrow of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration.
“The way he has handled me and how I have spoken harshly to John Mahama, I think have not been fair to Mahama. He is such a wonderful man. “I apologize, I am a human being. I think I recount my relationship with him and all that I want to say I am sorry,” he stated.
