Grammy Award-winning rapper, Kendrick Lamar, will take center stage as the headliner of the Apple Music Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans on February 9, 2025.
This will be Lamar’s first time as the main act, although he previously performed at the 2022 Super Bowl halftime show alongside other rap and hip-hop legends.
In a statement, Lamar expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why,” Lamar said in a statement. “They got the right one.”
NFL’s music chief, Seth Dudowsky, remarked, “Few artists have impacted music and culture as profoundly as Kendrick Lamar. Time and time again, Kendrick has proven his unique ability to craft moments that resonate, redefine, and ultimately shake the very foundation of hip-hop.”

Although he has not released new music since 2022, he enjoyed a successful summer with his single “Not Like Us,” a diss track aimed at Canadian rapper Drake, topping the Billboard Hot 100 for two consecutive weeks in June.
