Kendrick Lamar’s recent music video for “Not Like Us” has hit an impressive 41 million views on YouTube within just six days of its release on July 4.
This success has once again put him ahead of his rival Drake, whose diss track “Family Matters” released two months ago has garnered 35 million views so far.
Kendrick’s dominance over Drake is not limited to YouTube views, as he has also outperformed the OVO Sound artist on streaming platforms.
For example, “Not Like Us” has accumulated over 470 million streams on Spotify alone, surpassing Drake’s “Push Ups” which has 122 million streams.
Kendrick’s track has even broken some of Drake’s records, including being the fastest rap song to reach 100 million streams on Spotify.
Furthermore, Kendrick’s songs have been chart-toppers, with both “Not Like Us” and “Like That” reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, while Drake’s “Euphoria” peaked at No. 3.
In contrast, Drake’s tracks like “Family Matters” and “Push Ups” only reached No. 6 and No. 10, respectively.
Kendrick’s entire discography has seen a surge in popularity, with albums like good kid, m.A.A.d city, To Pimp a Butterfly, and DAMN. making significant gains on the Billboard 200.
