Kehlani has successfully obtained a temporary restraining order against her former partner, Javaughn Young-White, amid serious allegations of physical, verbal, and emotional abuse.
On Friday, Kehlani was granted a temporary restraining order against her ex-partner, Javaughn Young-White, following claims of abuse.
The order aims to protect both Kehlani and their 5-year-old daughter, Adeya, with Kehlani citing Young-White’s erratic behaviour as a significant concern.
Court documents reviewed by Page Six reveal that Kehlani filed the petition in the Superior Court of Los Angeles last week.
The allegations detail a troubling history of abuse, including a mid-June incident where Young-White reportedly became furious and forcibly entered Kehlani’s locked bedroom.
Kehlani characterized this episode as a “fit of anger,” during which Young-White insulted her and accused them of entrapment.
In her court filings, Kehlani indicated that Young-White had exhibited abusive behaviour for years, even during her pregnancy.
She accused him of frequent outbursts and neglect. Kehlani disclosed that Young-White had been residing on her property, where he reportedly spent his days “smoking marijuana continuously” and using psychedelics.
Additionally, Kehlani expressed concern over Young-White’s poor personal hygiene. She noted that when he was responsible for their daughter, she would return “dirty and smelling of marijuana.”
Kehlani described his behaviour as unpredictable, stating that he would “throw his arms in the air while yelling and screaming” and often resort to throwing objects and hurling insults.
In reaction to the allegations, Young-White shared purported text messages from Kehlani on social media, asserting that she pleaded with him to contact her in June.
He refuted the abuse claims, stating, “She busted through her own door and is framing her abuse as mine.”
