Peter Owusu, a 59-year-old man, died when an uncompleted building collapsed on him in Kasoa Opeikuma, located in the Awutu Senya East Municipality of the Central Region.

According to Adomonline, the incident occurred while he was attempting to chase away a bird that frequently visited the building and cried from 11:00 p.m. to 4:00 a.m.

Due to the constant disturbance caused by the bird, Mr. Owusu decided to take action. According to the Kasoa Branch Pastor of Deeper Life Church, Isaac Opoku Mensah, the deceased’s widow informed him that her late husband initially threw a stone at the bird, causing it to fly away temporarily.

However, it returned after approximately ten minutes. Determined to rid the building of the bird, Mr. Owusu climbed the structure, but tragically, it collapsed suddenly, resulting in his untimely demise.

He was immediately rushed to the Kasoa Mother and Child Hospital, but unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival.
