The presidential aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has announced that his “Building Ghana Tour” will kick off this month.
According to him, this tour is a great opportunity to reconnect with NDC supporters and sympathisers across the country.
“I am thrilled to announce that I will, this month, kick off a #BuildingGhanaTour, an opportunity to interact, once again, with the good people of Ghana including NDC supporters, and sympathisers across the country.”
“Together, we shall restore hope and galvanise for victory in 2024. Let’s build a brighter future for Ghana,” he said.
During one of his campaign tours in March 2023, John Mahama mentioned the collapse of the Ghanaian economy under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration of Nana Addo and Bawumia. He claimed the NDC’s loss in 2020 showed how flawed the NPP’s government actually was.
Mr. Mahama cited the development of Kasoa Interchange, the construction of hospitals and road networks, the supply of potable water, the establishment of schools, etc. as examples of the kinds of significant improvements brought to constituents by the NDC under the leadership of the Mills-Mahama administration but under Nana Addo-Bawumia, there has been nothing but sod-cutting ceremonies. He argued that the people of Ghana were in the best position to compare and contrast the NDC and NPP administrations.
He assured the public that the NDC would not participate in any deceitful election practices but would openly oppose any attempt by any other party to do so in the upcoming elections, and that the NDC was prepared to work with all stakeholders in the election processes to guarantee free and fair elections.
