Ghanaian actress Salma Mumin spoke out on the tragic accident involving Elrad Amoako, the son of Bishop Salifu Amoako, urging the public to be cautious in their reactions in a recent interview on UTV’s United Showbiz.
The incident, which has deeply affected both the Amoako family and the victims’ loved ones, prompted Bishop Amoako to address public speculation, emphasizing that his son had no intent to cause harm.
“Salifu Amoako’s son didn’t carry a gun to kill anyone,” Salma stated, backing the bishop’s comments. “It was a tragic accident. Accidents can happen to anyone, regardless of age.
Since it was an accident, we need to be cautious with our words. No one knows when something like this can occur.” Her remarks reflect a call for understanding in the face of unexpected tragedies, which, as she pointed out, could impact anyone.
Salma shared her belief that Elrad did not set out with any harmful intentions, acknowledging that while he may have been perceived as a “stubborn child at home,” it was unlikely he intended to cause such a tragic event.

Reflecting on the incident’s severity, she added, “Elrad himself could have been harmed. It was only by God’s grace that he wasn’t.”
The incident has drawn considerable public attention, with many questioning the circumstances and Elrad’s intentions.
However, Salma emphasized that pointing fingers can compound grief and overlook the complexities of unforeseen accidents.
In a poignant show of empathy, she extended condolences to the families impacted, noting, “I know their pain won’t go away, but I pray God gives them strength through this difficult time.”
