Radio host Nana Romeo has expressed concern over the growing number of conflicting election prophecies being made by Ghanaian pastors.
Speaking on his show on Accra FM, Nana Romeo specifically called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), George Akuffo Dampare, to intervene and address the issue, which he believes could lead to public confusion and unrest.
Nana Romeo raised a point that many Ghanaians are quietly grappling with the sheer number of contradictory prophecies about the outcome of upcoming elections.
“We all know we have one God who doesn’t lie. How can God tell Prophet A that the NDC will win the election, and then tell Prophet B that the NPP will win?” he questioned, highlighting the perplexing nature of these conflicting divine revelations.

In a country where religion plays a significant role in people’s lives, the influence of pastors and prophets on the political landscape cannot be understated. Their prophecies often sway public opinion and, in some cases, fuel political tensions.
Nana Romeo’s concern is that these clashing predictions could lead to more than just confusion. “If these two prophets declare their prophecies publicly and one of them doesn’t come to pass, it can cause misunderstandings,” he added, emphasizing the potential harm that these conflicting messages could have on the social fabric.
His appeal to IGP Dampare is not just about protecting the integrity of the upcoming elections, but also about preserving peace and unity within the country.
For many Ghanaians, prophecy is more than just a prediction – it is a guiding force that shapes beliefs, decisions, and, ultimately, votes.
However, as Nana Romeo pointed out when conflicting prophecies emerge from respected religious figures, it creates a scenario where one group will inevitably feel misled. This disappointment could easily turn into frustration, leading to disputes and even political unrest.
