During an interview with Amansan Krakye on Property FM, Kofi Kinataa expressed his decision not to pursue further studies, unlike Guru and Samini.

He emphasized that he is still at the beginning of his career in the industry and cannot afford to pause it for educational pursuits, especially considering his current status as one of the most popular artists in Ghana.

The Fante rapper and songwriter, who has achieved the remarkable feat of winning the TGMA Songwriter of the Year award four times consecutively, highlighted that there are alternative avenues for acquiring knowledge, such as online courses, which he intends to explore.

Explaining his stance, Kofi Kinaata said;

“We have different ways of schooling and it’s not all about sitting in a classroom because there are online courses to further your education.

He remarked “Doing further studies is a nice thing so if we get some space why not but the likes of Samini have achieved a lot already as a musician so he’s just having fun now.

“Even right now Samini can decide which shows he’ll perform or not and all that so he’s got space to balance further studies with his music career.

“But I’m now a starter in the music scene so this time that the applause is louder, we ought to do it as quickly as possible before anything else”.

In a previous report about Kofi Kinaata on Tru News Report, Highlife legend Gyedu Blay-Amboley gave his endorsement of Kofi Kinaata as the torchbearer of Highlife and Ghanaian music as a whole.

In a recent interview with Asaase Radio, Ambolley was asked to identify which current musician could produce a timeless song that would still be appreciated in the next decade.

Without hesitation, Ambolley mentioned Kinaata’s name, praising the young artist for possessing all the qualities of his predecessors in the Highlife genre.

Ambolley took the opportunity to criticize present-day artists who focus solely on creating danceable tunes that quickly fade away.

He urged them to learn to play musical instruments, be versatile, and create music that would withstand the test of time.
