Joana Gyan, wife of rapper Keche Andrew and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Amenfi Central, has expressed her immense joy and gratitude following a recent court victory that has been seen as a major milestone for both her campaign and the people of Amenfi Central.
In a heartfelt statement, Gyan reflected on the positive turn of events after the High Court in Sekondi, under the presiding Justice Gyan-Konto, granted a motion to vacate an interlocutory injunction that had been placed against her candidacy.
This ruling marks a significant legal victory in her ongoing efforts to run for parliament as the NDC candidate for the Amenfi Central constituency.

“I’m overjoyed and grateful to God for this positive turn of events,” Gyan shared, her voice filled with relief and triumph. “My new lawyers played a crucial role in resolving this matter, and I’m thankful for their expertise.”
She acknowledged the intense legal battle she had faced but emphasized the importance of perseverance in the face of adversity.
The case had initially caused some uncertainty regarding her candidacy, but the court’s ruling now paves the way for Gyan to fully focus on her campaign without legal distractions.
Reflecting on the challenges she faced during this time, Gyan noted, “It’s a reminder that those you trust most can sometimes harm you.”
The statement alluded to the personal and professional challenges she had encountered throughout the process, revealing a deeper level of vulnerability behind her public persona.
Gyan took a moment to extend her thanks to those who had supported her throughout the ordeal, including her supporters, constituents, and the entire NDC party.
“I extend my heartfelt appreciation to my supporters, constituents, and the entire NDC party for standing by me,” she said.
Now that the legal hurdles have been cleared, Gyan’s focus is squarely on the future. “We’re now focused on moving forward with our campaign launch and the electoral process,” she declared. With a renewed sense of optimism, she is eager to engage with voters and share her vision for Amenfi Central.
