Kwame Owusu Danso, the running mate for Alan Kwadwo Kyeremanteng in the newly formed Movement For Change party, has expressed bold optimism about their party’s prospects in Ghana’s upcoming December 7 elections.

Danso, a former hiplife artist who made a striking pivot to politics, revealed his ambitions during a recent interview with media personality Andy Dosty on Hitz FM. Confident and unwavering, he declared his intentions to secure the vice presidency by 2025.

Owusu Danso, who first rose to prominence in the music industry, credits Kyeremanteng—himself a seasoned political figure and former stalwart of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP)—with inspiring his foray into politics.

Kyeremanteng’s recent break from the NPP to form the Movement For Change has sparked significant interest, particularly with Owusu Danso as his dynamic and youthful running mate.

Reflecting on the opportunity, Owusu Danso said, “It was a pivotal moment for me when Alan extended this opportunity. I didn’t hesitate because I see this as a real chance to make a lasting impact on Ghana’s future.”

When asked if he felt destined for leadership, he responded confidently, “Absolutely. Becoming the next vice president is not just a dream—it’s something I am committed to achieving.”

He remains resolute about his party’s potential to secure victory, saying, “There are clear signs that the Movement For Change is gaining ground. The people of Ghana are ready for something different, and we’re here to answer that call.”

His partnership with Kyeremanteng represents a notable shift in the political landscape, particularly given Kyeremanteng’s departure from the established NPP.

Known for his efforts to champion economic reform and job creation during his tenure in government, Kyeremanteng’s new venture has attracted considerable interest.

Owusu Danso’s involvement, however, introduces an unconventional and youthful energy, appealing to a demographic hungry for change and innovation in leadership.
