Paul Okoye of P Square fame has discussed his decision to refrain from commenting on national issues during an interview with Cool FM in Lagos.
The artist highlighted that his last public opinion regarding the political climate in Nigeria was expressed in December, prior to the elections.
Known to his fans as Rudeboy, Okoye emphasized that he is indifferent to the governance of the country.
He stated that he is focused on creating his own environment based on principles he believes will be sustainable, and therefore, he chooses not to engage in discussions about the political decisions made by Nigerian leaders.
He stated, “I’m sorry. I don’t have any opinion anymore. The last opinion I did was during the election and I am not saying anything anymore. Nothing concern me again. Anyhow wey una wan run the country, make una run am. I’m building my own country myself now.”
Rudeboy was in the news recently after he posted an epic response to his release from EFCC custody.
Anonymous blogger Cutie Juls had previously mentioned that Rudeboy and his older brother, Jude Okoye, were brought in for interrogation by the EFCC.
Shortly after regaining his freedom, Rudeboy expressed his joy on Instagram, emphasizing that he is not a criminal since his successful music career provides him with a good income.
He wrote: “Eagle eyes = all cleared I no thief ohh …na just good music de pay. Now let’s get back to the music Next week!! New music!! Vitamin D.”
