“Situations like these could destroy the family, and they may not recover from this,” Arnold asserted, highlighting the deep emotional toll such tragedies can take.
His voice resonated with empathy for those grieving, emphasizing that this was not just a personal loss but a communal calamity.
“I feel the archbishop’s commentary was insensitive, inconsiderate, and reckless,” he continued, firmly believing that leaders must approach sensitive topics with care and understanding.
Arnold went further to criticize the bishop’s complaints about public backlash, saying, “What he said was borne out of ignorance and arrogance.”
It was clear to him that the bishop’s response was not only misplaced but also dismissive of the genuine concerns voiced by the public.
“He was complaining about the public criticisms; did he expect us to praise him?” Arnold questioned, highlighting the disconnect between the bishop’s expectations and the reality faced by the grieving community.
“This is a situation that Ghanaians will definitely talk about,” he stated, underscoring the collective grief and outrage that has gripped the nation.
