The disputed parliamentary election results in Ablekuma North have taken a new turn after Frank Annoh-Dompreh, the Majority Chief Whip and Member of Parliament for Nsawam-Adoagyiri, made remarks urging New Patriotic Party (NPP) supporters to resist the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Speaking at a gathering on Thursday, February 6, Annoh-Dompreh expressed frustration over the delay in declaring the NPP candidate as the winner of the election.
He accused the NDC, led by Mahama Ayariga, of refusing to accept defeat and warned that the situation could lead to unrest in Parliament.

“If you’re NPP and you find an NDC supporter fighting a fellow NPP member, help beat the NDC. We are giving the EC one week. The EC must come and declare our candidate the winner.
“If the NDC, led by Mahama Ayariga, will not be reasonable and accept the fact that we won, there cannot be peace in Parliament. Based on all the evidence available, we won this seat,” Annoh-Dompreh declared.
