In his first Christmas message as President-elect, John Dramani Mahama struck a tone of gratitude and optimism, emphasizing his vision for a prosperous and inclusive Ghana.

Delivered on December 25, the message combined reflections on the season’s significance with his aspirations for the nation under his leadership.

“Christmas is a season of hope and renewed inspiration,” Mahama began, setting the tone for his address.

“As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and the values He lived in His own life, I wish to thank you, the good people of Ghana, for bestowing on me the opportunity to serve you as your President and Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces.”

Mahama’s message reflected a sense of responsibility and humility, acknowledging the trust placed in him by Ghanaians.

His words resonated with a nation that recently emerged from a fiercely contested election, underscoring his commitment to unity and progress.

He went on to reaffirm his determination to foster a nation that works for everyone, regardless of their background or political affiliations.

“I wish to also reaffirm my determination to build a nation that works for all,” he pledged. “A prosperous and democratic state anchored in the principles of freedom, justice, accountability, and equal opportunities for all.”
