Professor Ransford Gyampo has revealed that the controversial “Sex for Grades” documentary was not originally an initiative of the BBC but was sold to them by someone in Ghana.
Speaking to Blakk Rasta on 3FM monitored by Ghanastreetjournal, he asserted that BBC Nigeria picked up the story merely to appear credible.
“It was not done by the BBC. It was done by somebody in Ghana who took it to them,” he stated. “They had to create one or two instances to make it seem as if they had done a credible job.”
The professor claimed that the investigation was not rooted in genuine concern but was specifically targeted at him.
“I was the only reason they did it. It wasn’t about anything else. And I have evidence—though I don’t have permission to mention names. But even those who did it and their masters have come to apologize,” he revealed.
Despite his frustrations, he emphasized that he has chosen to move on. “I didn’t die. I rather remain resilient. If some of those behind this had gone through what I went through, they would have committed suicide,” he remarked.
