Guru has revealed in a new interview that he faced spiritual attacks from his staff, who aimed to undermine his successful career.
He described an incident where he suddenly went blank while performing on stage, attributing it to the effects of juju used against him.
The former serial hitmaker told actress and TV host Emelia Brobbey on the Okukuseku Show that two different pastors had forewarned him at separate times to take necessary precautions regarding his situation.
“There was this instance where I went on stage to perform. I performed a couple of songs until ‘Bonsam Ani’ dropped, and immediately I couldn’t speak again.
“Suddenly I went mute. I became stiff and the DJ also stopped the song, thinking I wanted to interact with the fans. I left the stage, and nothing was working. I was just gone,” Guru recounted.
“Whenever I went to the hospital, they found nothing. I was exhausted from the search and decided to consult a herbalist, who eventually removed metals, wood, hooks, and cowrie shells from different parts of my body,” he added.
In other related Guru stories, the rapper submitted a petition to the UGSRC Judicial Board to pursue an interim injunction following his disqualification from the SRC presidential elections.
This petition challenges the fairness and constitutionality of disqualifying non-resident students from participating in the SRC elections, particularly given that the SRC’s decisions affect the entire student population.
Recall the commission of the university said per what is stipulated in their constitution, only residents are eligible to run for election.
Both Guru and his running mate, Jeffery Adu Yeboah, were disqualified after they acknowledged during the vetting process that they do not reside in any of the university’s halls.
