Musician and political activist Kwame A Plus has shared his thoughts on the recent challenges facing his elder brother, Rev. Owusu-Bempah.
Speaking on United Showbiz, A Plus revealed that he had previously warned Owusu Bempah whom he referred to as his brother about his association with the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which he believes has led to the preacher’s current troubles.
According to A Plus, his concerns about the NPP were met with resistance, as Rev. Owusu-Bempah insisted that the party was the best for Ghana. “The truth is that Rev. Owusu-Bempah is my elder brother, but it is God who has punished him for whatever is happening in his life.
“I warned him against these people, that they are not good,” A Plus said, expressing a sense of vindication. He went on to explain that despite his warnings, his brother remained steadfast in his support for the NPP, even lecturing him on why it was the best government for the country.

A Plus also revealed that when Rev. Owusu-Bempah was arrested, he felt his prophecy about the party’s negative impact had come true. “The day he was remanded into police custody, I wanted to call him and congratulate him that my prophecy had come to pass,” he added, reflecting on how the situation unfolded just as he had predicted.
A Plus made it clear that his faith in prophecies has its limits, stating that the only prophecy he believes in now predicts Mahama’s victory.
“As for that prophecy, I believe it. He should keep giving that prophecy. I won’t believe any other prophecy apart from a prophecy that is about John Mahama winning,” A Plus declared during the show.
This surprising endorsement from A Plus highlights a shift in his political stance, suggesting growing disillusionment with the NPP, despite his prior loyalty to the party.
