In a recent conversation on The Receipts Podcast, Nigerian songstress Tiwa Savage opened up about the unique journey of her career, sharing a deeply personal insight into how she found success later in life.
The 44-year-old artist, known for hits like “All Over” and “Koroba,” revealed that although she initially questioned why her career didn’t take off in her twenties, she now believes her delayed rise to fame was part of a bigger divine plan.
“I feel like God has done this on purpose. God delayed my success for a purpose,” Tiwa shared, reflecting on her path to stardom.
“I used to be like, why wasn’t I successful in my twenties? I started succeeding in my thirties. It’s to bless other people.”

For many, the pressure to achieve success by a certain age can be overwhelming, and Tiwa’s story serves as a reminder that there’s no “right” time to find success.
In fact, Tiwa’s personal growth and experiences in her thirties have equipped her with the wisdom to support and inspire others who may be facing their own challenges.
