During a Question-and-Answer session, the Queen of Afrobeats revealed the most extravagant gift she has ever received—and why she chose to return it.
“A man once gave me a Range Rover,” Tiwa disclosed, her voice carrying a mix of humour and sincerity.
For most, such a luxurious gift would be hard to decline, but for Tiwa, the gesture was not as simple as it seemed. “I just didn’t feel that connection with him,” she admitted, explaining her decision to promptly return the vehicle.
The singer emphasized that accepting the gift might have set expectations she wasn’t comfortable fulfilling.
“I didn’t want to dodge his calls or feel like I owed him something just because of the car,” she said, highlighting her commitment to transparency in her relationships.
