Perez Musik has shared his life experiences, touching on topics that many can relate to, including his first encounter with cigarettes and a painful betrayal in his personal life.
During an interview on Hitz FM, the gospel star reflected on his teenage years, recounting, “The first time I touched cigarettes was when I was in senior high school.
2I remember it very well because it happened at Indigo, and I did that for 11 years.”
His admission offers a glimpse into the challenges young people often face as they navigate their formative years, highlighting how easy it can be to fall into habits that may lead to lasting consequences. “It was a phase in my life,” he continued. “But I eventually realized that it wasn’t worth it.”
However, Perez’s journey through life hasn’t just been about personal struggles with addiction; it has also included navigating the complexities of relationships.

He shared a heart-wrenching story about discovering that someone close to him had betrayed his trust. “Somebody in the industry was hitting on my girlfriend. I met him with my girlfriend one time, and when I turned my back, he took her number,” Perez revealed, his tone laced with disappointment.
His discovery came when he borrowed the man’s phone to call someone and stumbled upon shocking evidence. “So, one day, I took his phone to call someone, and that was when I got to know he was having an affair with my girlfriend,” he said, pain evident in his voice.
“It’s important to learn and grow from these experiences,” he emphasized. “I’ve come a long way, and I’m grateful for the lessons life has taught me.”
