Award-winning gospel musician Perez Musik has opened up about a deeply personal experience that shaped not only his relationships but also his outlook on friendship and trust.
In a fresh interview on Hitz FM, the artist shared a story that many could relate to—betrayal and the lasting impact it can have.
“Somebody in the industry was hitting on my girlfriend,” Prez Musik began, recalling an encounter that would change his relationships forever. “I met him with my girlfriend one time, and when I turned my back, he took her number.”
“One day, I took his phone to call someone, and that was when I got to know he was having an affair with my girlfriend,” he explained.
This painful experience didn’t just end with the loss of a relationship. It also altered how he viewed the people around him.
“Now, my friends from those days are still my friends,” Prez Musik reflected, speaking with a sense of gratitude for the few people who remained loyal through it all.
“He (Frank) is the only person I am comfortable with,” he added, referring to one of his closest friends who stuck by him, even when trust seemed like a difficult thing to come by.
“I barely made new friends because of what happened between my ex and me,” the musician admitted, revealing how that betrayal affected his ability to open up to others.
