“My story motivates others who are sick to believe that they too will heal. Suicide never crossed my mind. I’m always happy. As long as I’m alive, I enjoy life just like I used to.”
Kunta Kinte’s illness began suddenly in his prime, halting his music career and leaving fans and loved ones worried about his future.
Despite the challenges, he has fought tirelessly, refusing to let the illness define him. His positivity radiates even as he recalls the hurtful rumours that followed his condition.
“They said I became sick because I snatched someone’s girlfriend,” he said, shaking his head with a chuckle. “But when it comes to football, I know how to play.
“I also play basketball, rap, and do a lot of things. People didn’t know what was wrong with me, so that’s why they spread such rumours.”
