Rapper Black Sherif has clarified that he does not come from a poor background, despite perceptions that his music reflects such a narrative.

In an interview with celebrity blogger Zionfelix, the artist emphasized that he is financially stable, attributing his success to the significant support he receives from his parents, who reside in Greece.

Zionfelix noted that many believe his lyrics and overall persona suggest he is someone rising from poverty.

In reply, the former Artiste of the Year winner at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards asserted that he identifies as a hustler, clearly distinguishing between hustler and one who is poor.

Meanwhile, Black Sherif’s remarkable career took a significant leap forward following an announcement from Bloomplay that revealed that he is the first Ghanaian artist to achieve 500 million streams on their platform.

This milestone was celebrated in a post on X (formerly Twitter) by Boomplay, highlighting his groundbreaking achievement.

Boomplay announced this historic accomplishment in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), with the caption, “KILOS MILLIONS! Special congratulations to Iron Boy the pace setter @blacksherif_ and fans for hitting a record of 500 million total streams on #Boomplay.”
