Ghanaian radio host Nana Romeo, born Abdul Karim, has publicly apologized for remarks he made regarding the tragic deaths of two girls, Maame Dwomoh and Justine Agbenu, who died in a horrific car accident.
The accident, which occurred on Saturday, October 12, 2024, involved the son of Bishop Salifu Amoako.

While discussing the incident during a segment on UTV’s United Showbiz on October 19, 2024, Nana Romeo made comments that sparked a wave of backlash.
Speaking from the perspective of his Muslim faith, he touched on the idea of life and death, stating that “Allah is the giver and taker of life, and the way a person dies is in His hands, beyond questioning.”
In response to the public outcry, Nana Romeo issued an apology, clarifying that his intention was never to add to the pain of those mourning the loss of Maame and Justine.
“I never meant to cause any harm with my words. I was only speaking from the viewpoint of my faith, which teaches that life and death are the will of Allah,” he explained.
Romeo, clearly affected by the tragedy, expressed his sorrow over the incident. “I am deeply saddened by what happened. It’s a terrible loss, and I want to extend my sincerest apologies to anyone who may have misunderstood my comments,” he said.
He reiterated his commitment to offering support and understanding during such a difficult time for the bereaved families.

The apology came as an effort to bridge the gap between his religious perspective and the emotions of those affected by the tragedy.
