Former Marvin Records signee, Korede Bello has disclosed the reasons behind his departure from the renowned label led by Don Jazzy.
Known for nurturing the careers of prominent artists such as Tiwa Savage, Ayra Starr, and Spyro, Marvin Records once housed Korede Bello, who ultimately decided to part ways with the label.
Years after his exit, he has shed light on the factors that influenced his decision, despite having achieved significant success with several hit songs.
In an interview with Hip TV, the artist expressed that he felt the need to reassess his personal development and artistic direction, prompting his departure from the label where he was signed from 2014 to 2021.
“I was at a season in my life where I needed to metamorphose, to explore my inner worth, to do introspection, understand myself, understand meaning more, and reconnect to my why.
“Because I was at a stage where I started to feel like a product that is just there [at Mavins Records] to make money.
“You lose sight of what matters when you chase after the next hit, after the next whatever it is that can get you into conversations. So a lot of artists are addicted to that circle,” the Godwin hitmaker said.
