Ghanaian music icon Shatta Wale has addressed a heartfelt apology from a fan, expressing the need for collective acknowledgement from Ghanaians regarding their lack of support when he was fighting people in authority over their incompetence.
The fan had written, “SM President, we know we let you down when you needed our support the most and for that, we’re deeply sorry.
The reality of what’s happening now shows that your message was ahead of its time. Please don’t give up on us because now more than ever we need your voice.”
Responding passionately, Shatta Wale stated, “I need a national apology from you all then I can show you all the way.

“Some of us hate this country’s directions more than you do, but if you all will be sincere to yourselves.”
He went on to reflect on his outspoken criticism of various issues, stating, “I have blasted people from entertainment problems to political problems.
“I just chose a path of peace and freedom for me and my Shatta Movement fans, and that’s why when Shatta Movement fans rise, I will rise with them HARD.”
The discussion centres around the arrest of thirty-nine individuals by the Accra Circuit Court, following their arrest by police during a weekend street protest for engaging in unlawful activities.
These individuals were part of a three-day demonstration organized by the advocacy group, Democracy Hub.
The recent detentions have ignited significant backlash from civil society and activists, who contend that the government ought to focus on environmental protection and public health rather than catering to the interests of illegal mine
