Ghanaian fashion expert and commentator Charlie Dior has expressed that he often makes many Ghanaians feel uncomfortable, which he believes is the reason for their unprovoked criticisms directed at him.
He suggests that those who confront him should consider discussing their feelings with a therapist, as he maintains a strong sense of self-confidence.
“I make them uncomfortable. I make a lot of Ghanaians uncomfortable and I don’t know why.
“It’s probably something they need to talk to their therapist about because I am very confident within myself and when I walk in a room, it makes certain people uncomfortable; it triggers certain people.
“The reason why it does that, I cannot help you with that, you have to seek therapy,” he told Deloris Frimpong Manso during a recent interview.
In addition, he responded to the recent criticisms from Ghanaians regarding his attire at the All-Black party in Kumasi.
He remarked that Ghanaians often resort to unnecessary criticism rather than offering constructive feedback, stressing that he is not the cause of their issues, which leads to their agitation and impacts their mindset.
“You know, they are very vulgar and I don’t know why they are mad. They were very vulgar. Like why are you insulting me, why am I triggering you so much? I mean if you don’t like the clothes, you don’t like the clothes but why are you going to the extent of insulting me; have I offended you?
“I’m not the source of your issues or problems so if you don’t like my choice of attire, you can comment and say ‘I do not like this outfit. I feel like you can do it in a better way’ then we are having a productive conversation,” he said.
