Adele has recently discussed her upcoming music projects and the importance of taking a break.
In a recent interview with German broadcaster ZDF, the 16-time Grammy winner disclosed that she has no immediate plans to release new music.
“I don’t have any plans for new music, at all,” Adele said. “I want a big break after this.”
“I think I want to do other creative things, just for a little while.”
Fans will still have the opportunity to see the “Easy on Me” singer in concert this fall, despite the unexpected announcement.
Adele is set to continue her Weekends with Adele Las Vegas residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace from October to November.
The residency, which began in November 2022, was temporarily halted in March 2024 due to an undisclosed illness. Adele expressed the necessity of taking a break to fully recover.
Adele has achieved remarkable success as one of the top-selling music artists globally, having sold over 120 million records.
She holds the title of the best-selling female artist in the UK for the 21st century and was recognized as the best-selling artist of the 2010s in both the US and worldwide.
Her albums 21 and 25 were the top two best-selling albums in the UK during the 2010s and are considered among the best-selling albums in UK chart history.
Additionally, both albums have been certified Diamond in the US, making Adele the artist with the most Diamond certifications among those who debuted in the 21st century.
