Renowned Ghanaian musician and entrepreneur, Mzbel, has made it clear that she has no interest in accepting any political appointment, even if offered by the President.
In a recent interview with Graphic Showbiz, she emphasized her desire for independence, stating that she would rather focus on her hard-earned success than have it linked to politics.
“The truth is that I will turn down an offer of appointment should the President even call because I want peace of mind. I don’t want anyone to equate my success to politics because I work very hard,” she stated.

Mzbel, who has built a name for herself in the entertainment industry over the years, expressed concerns about the scrutiny that comes with political affiliations. She believes that any government involvement could lead to misconceptions about her achievements and career moves.

“For instance, should I travel for even my own show, they will say ‘she is travelling with taxpayers’ money. Politics has made her and this and that,” she noted.
