MC Portfolio has detailed the fallout with Shatta Wale and how it led him to publicly support Stonebwoy over the 2023 Ghana Music Awards Artiste of the Year award.
In a revealing interview with Akoto Mansa on the Asetena Pa show, MC Portfolio outlined the events that escalated the tensions with Wale’s fans.
When asked about his support for Stonebwoy, MC Portfolio clarified that his decision was based on fairness and objectivity rather than personal animosity.

“I wasn’t personally offended by the situation,” he said, explaining that he was in the company of Andy Dosty and DJ Slim when the controversy unfolded.
“It was more about standing up for what I believed was right for the industry.”
He continued, “When I started advocating for Stonebwoy, it didn’t sit well with Wale’s supporters. But to be clear, I wasn’t personally offended by the situation.
“I was with Andy Dosty and DJ Slim at the time, and it was more about standing up for what I believed was right for the industry.”
The journalist’s decision to back Stonebwoy, despite the rivalry between the two artists, has sparked further interest in the growing tension between the camps.
