In an interview with Ike De Unpredictable on Kumasi-based Angel FM, Dancehall artist Stonebwoy addressed the mounting calls from his fans and the people of Ashaiman for him to run for Parliament.
With his usual straightforwardness, Stonebwoy made it clear that he has no intention of stepping into the political arena, at least not for now.
“Please, I can’t stand the MP problems. I beg, I have a lot to think about,” Stonebwoy said, clearly overwhelmed by the idea. “I am finishing my masters in May so you guys must pray for me.”

The musician, known for his chart-topping hits and dedicated fanbase, took a moment to reflect on the demands of his career and education.
Juggling his music career with academics, Stonebwoy recently had a concert on Sunday, but he had also taken an exam on Friday.
“I had a concert on Sunday, but I took an exam on Friday,” he shared, expressing how balancing both worlds is no easy feat.
“Then people will say I didn’t go to school. So now my friends in class say they will be posting to show people that I come to school.
“They said I didn’t go to school because when I was schooling they were sitting in their homes.”
