In the world of entertainment, feuds often take center stage, and the latest to grab headlines is the ongoing conflict between comedian and actor Funny Face and renowned Reggae/Dancehall artist Stonebwoy.
This time, the comedian has launched a barrage of insults that revolve around themes of betrayal and hypocrisy, reigniting tensions that have kept fans and observers on their toes.
Funny Face, who has weathered his share of personal challenges and public controversies, recently addressed the criticism he has faced for enjoying Stonebwoy’s hit track “Jejereje” while simultaneously embroiled in a public dispute with the artist. “People have been questioning my loyalty,” he said in an interview.
“They see me jamming to ‘Jejereje’ and wonder how I can enjoy the music of someone I’m beefing with. But that’s the thing—music is music. I can appreciate quality art without it changing my feelings towards the person behind it.”
He went on to emphasize that his respect for Stonebwoy’s craft remains intact, regardless of their differences. “Just because I have issues with Stonebwoy doesn’t mean I can’t recognize the talent he brings to the table,” Funny Face stated.
“His music speaks for itself, and it’s brilliant. We may have our issues, but that doesn’t take away from the fact that I enjoy his work.”
In a surprising twist, Funny Face also expressed admiration for another controversial figure in the Ghanaian music scene—Shatta Wale.
Despite having criticized Shatta in the past due to his association with rapper Medikal, with whom he has his own conflicts, Funny Face admitted to frequently playing Shatta’s music.
“I may have had my disagreements with Shatta, but the man knows how to make hits. His vibe is infectious!” he remarked. “At the end of the day, it’s about the music, and I won’t deny that he’s got some bangers.”
