King Paluta is undeniably the most popular artist at the moment. With a string of hit songs that have propelled him into the mainstream, the singer, whose fame skyrocketed at the 2024 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, has now released a new track titled Makoma.

The song has quickly become a favourite in clubs and on the streets, dominating various digital streaming platforms.

Rapper Guru, who played a role in King Paluta’s success, expressed his joy at seeing the artist achieve household name status.

Guru revealed that he had faith in the Kumasi-based rapper and singer when no one else did, which is why he signed him to his NKZ record label.

“People were doubting him when I brought him out. They were like, anytime I go on air and say, ‘Okay, my favourite artiste is King Paluta.

“My best rapper is King Paluta.’ They would ask, ‘Are you sure? Who is he?’ They didn’t even know. But I’m proud of him today because he’s been able to grow from whatever he was doing,” Guru told Berla Mundi.

Guru emphasized the significance of continuous growth and the discovery of a style that connects with the audience, observing that King Paluta has adeptly traversed this path.

It would be recalled that in 2017, Zionfelix verified that Guru had officially signed Paluta to his record label. When contacted for confirmation, Guru was tight-lipped about the details of the deal, mentioning that a press conference would be held shortly to introduce the new signee.

In a phone conversation with Zionfelix.net, Guru expressed his excitement about having the talented Oseikrom boy on his label, praising his musical skills.

After the announcement of the new signing on NKZ Music’s social media platforms, many Ghanaians expressed their happiness over the move, believing that King Paluta is a highly skilled artist who has been overlooked for too long.
