Political Marketing Lecturer and CEO of the Ghana Tourism Development Company, Prof. Kobby Mensah, has shed light on his ideological stance, revealing that he has had a National Democratic Congress (NDC) party card in the past, but does not consider himself an ardent member.
Speaking in an interview on Joy Prime, Prof. Mensah explained his political ideology, stating:
“I’ve had a card of NDC in the past, but I haven’t been ardent if I should put it.”
While clarifying his stance on party affiliation, he emphasized that his political beliefs align with leftist ideologies, making him naturally inclined toward the NDC.

“I am absolutely to the left. I am left-leaning in terms of my ideology. The conversation about party affiliation is, it depends on how you want to define it.”
He further broke down the distinction between ideological affiliation and formal party membership.
“If you want to define it by ideological leanings, then you would associate me to the NDC because of my ideological beliefs.
“When you want to define it by membership, somebody would say political membership means that you hold a card; then, of course, that is also another conversation, but I can tell you that I’m absolutely left-leaning.”
His statement has sparked discussions about how political identities are formed, especially among professionals who may not actively engage in party politics but hold strong ideological positions.
