Hulk Hogan blames beers for attack on Kamala Harris

Hulk Hogan has attributed his recent attack on Kamala Harris, which involved racist comments regarding her heritage, to alcohol.

The WWE Hall of Famer, known for his outspoken support of Donald Trump during the current U.S. Presidential race, directed his criticism at the Democratic candidate and sitting vice president this week, igniting yet another controversy surrounding racism.

The 71-year-old retired wrestler was at the Thirsty Cowboy in Medina, Ohio, promoting his new beer when he took the microphone, attempting to relive his WWE glory days.

In a video obtained by TMZ, he asked a cheering crowd: ‘Want me to body-slam Kamala Harris? Want me to drop the leg on Kamala?’

He then commented on Harris’ heritage – the politician is bi-racial, as her father is Jamaican and her mother was from India.

He asked the crowd: ‘Is Kamala a chameleon? Is she Indian?’, before being seen raising his hand in a stereotypical greeting associated with Native Americans.

He was heard saying he was ‘going to get heat for that one’, quickly adding: ‘That was not me, that was the beer talking.’

Kamala Devi Harris was born on October 20, 1964, in Oakland, California. Her mother, Shyamala Gopalan, was a biologist who immigrated to the United States from India in 1958 to pursue graduate studies in endocrinology at the University of California, Berkeley.

Over a research career spanning more than 40 years, she made significant contributions to breast cancer research, particularly through her work on the progesterone receptor gene.

Harris’s father, Donald J. Harris, came to the U.S. from Jamaica in 1961, also attending UC-Berkeley, where he focused on development economics.

He became the first Black faculty member to achieve tenure in the Department of Economics at Stanford University, where he now holds emeritus status. Kamala Harris’s parents met in 1962 and were married the following year.
