He Said It’s Corruption – Nana Akomea Calls Out Asiedu Nketiah Over Son’s Role

Nana Akomea, the Deputy Campaign Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for the 2024 elections, has aimed at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, over the appointment of his son as Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF).

During an interview on Peace FM’s Kokrokoo, Nana Akomea did not mince words, accusing Asiedu Nketiah of hypocrisy.

“Do you know the person who has been appointed as the Deputy CEO of MIIF? I learned he is a doctor, so he is qualified,” Akomea said.

“But do you know, Asiedu Nketiah has said that, for you to appoint your family member into public office is one of the biggest corruptions?

He said if you get power as a government official and you bring your family members into government, it is corruption.”

Akomea continued, questioning the silence of the NDC Chairman on the matter:

“He said it is not about qualification but rather it is about the fact that you are related to the person. So today that his son has been taken to the Minerals Fund, what is he saying now?”
