The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah aka General Mosquito, has accused the outgoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration of deliberately undermining the incoming NDC government.
Speaking at a victory rally in Sunyani, Asiedu Nketiah alleged that the NPP had engaged in actions designed to destabilize the incoming administration.
“The outgoing government, having lost the elections, is sabotaging the incoming administration,” Asiedu Nketiah declared. “They have mismanaged the energy sector, and if precautions are not taken, dumsor will reoccur.”
He explained that the energy crisis, popularly known as dumsor, could return if critical interventions were not promptly made by the incoming government.

The NDC Chairman also accused the NPP of rushing to recruit and promote party loyalists in key public sector institutions.
“They informed us that the public sector was overburdened and no recruitment could be conducted. However, over the last week, they have issued backdated appointment letters to approximately 10,000 people for immigration, GPHA, and other institutions,” he said.
He further alleged that individuals unqualified for promotions were being elevated within these institutions, adding that these moves were aimed at creating challenges for the incoming NDC government.
“They are promoting NPP members to lead these institutions and sabotage us,” he stated.
Asiedu Nketiah issued a stern warning to those involved, emphasizing that the incoming administration would review all questionable appointments. “If we take over and discover that your appointment was done illegally, you will be asked to go home,” he cautioned.
