In a recent episode of the Girls Aloud podcast, US-based Ghanaian socialite Archipalago voiced his frustrations with two of Ghana’s most prominent musicians, Kuami Eugene and Shatta Wale.
His remarks have sparked considerable discussion among fans and industry insiders.
Archipalago recounted a recent incident that left him feeling disrespected by Kuami Eugene. “Recently, I called a friend in Kumasi, one of the popular stations.

“So I heard the voice of Kuami Eugene in the background, and I told my friend to give him the phone so I could speak with him.
“Could you imagine Kuami Eugene deciding not to speak to me, talk less of even taking that phone? He is such a disrespectful kid. Who is even Kuami Eugene? Can’t you see he wears only fake designer?” he remarked.
This is not the first time Kuami Eugene has been at the center of controversy. Despite his success, with hit songs like “Angela” and “Confusion,” Eugene has often faced criticism for his fashion choices and his demeanour.
Some fans believe that his public persona sometimes overshadows his musical talent, creating a mixed perception of the artist.
Archipalago did not stop there. He also discussed his relationship with Shatta Wale, another heavyweight in the Ghanaian music scene. Reflecting on a past interaction, he said, “I can’t sell my dignity to anyone.
“I remember during a live Twitter space with Shatta Wale some time ago, and he even told me that when I come to Ghana, we should hang out. I got here and called him, but he refused my call. And I have made up my mind not to call him again. But the thing is, I don’t have any problem with him.”
